Art museum
Completed in 2005, the glass cube of Stuttgart's art museum dominates Kleiner Schlossplatz, one of the city's central squares. The museum's collection includes artwork dating from the late 18th century to the present day and features the world’s most extensive Otto Dix collection, with around 250 works by the artist. Also well worth a visit is the museum's restaurant, Cube, which offers an impressive view of the city along with excellent food and beverages.

Musicals
In „Tanz der Vampire“ the Earl of Krolock inspires the audience with mystical vampire adventures - and that since 10 years now. "We Will Rock You" told the story of a man who set out in search of his roots and found true love, dazzling audiences with spectacular sets and featuring the classic rock anthems of Queen. Since autumn 2010 Udo Jürgens' musical "Ich war noch niemals in New York" is giving a guest performance in Stuttgart.

Since it reopened in 1994, the Friedrichsbau Varieté has been successfully following in the tradition of its illustrious predecessor. State gallery
The Neue Staatsgalerie, housed in a controversial building by British architect Sir James Stirling, contains a rich and varied collection of paintings and sculptures. One of the most visited museums in Germany, it hosts seven or eight temporary exhibitions every year, which are supplemented by fascinating guided tours.
